Central Text:

John 4:24: For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Hello Dear Readers,

As the central text says, God requires us His servants to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Because God is Spirit, we can only connect to Him with true worship from deep within our spirits.

But How Do We Do This?

By worshiping Him all throughout your day.

I know this may sound hard because we all have busy lives.

But, it is 100% percent possible.

The following are 3 ways to incorporate worship into your daily routines so that worshiping God can become a main event in your life.

1. Listen to your Christian Playlist or a Christian Radio Station While Doing Your Morning Routine

Having Christian worship music on sets up the spiritual ambiance for you to sing along with your heart and connect with God.

This is why playing worship music while preparing yourself for the day is so important.

After your done getting ready to go out to your job or school, continue the worship session by listening to your worship songs on the ride to your destination.

This helps to get the songs stuck in your head too.

You’ll find yourself singing to God all day long to the tune of the songs you started your day with.

Tip: Keep updating your Christian worship Playlist with new songs you like every change you get.

We’re human, after listening to the same songs for a while we get tired of them.

If you keep your list updated, it makes it easier for you to sing along wholeheartedly and keep your energy high during your worship session.

2. Meditate On a Verse That Praises God throughout Your Day

3-ways-to-add-worship-1.jpg

This is a strategy I learned from some Sisters at an elderly nun home I did an internship at.

While I’m not catholic and we don’t share all the same practices, they had some amazing spiritual habits that are definitely valuable to Christian living.

Meditating on Scripture is also biblical (Psalm 1:1-2.)

The method I learned from these Sisters about Scripture meditation is to take one verse of the Bible, write it down on a piece of paper and put it in your pocket, and then meditate on this verse all day long as you go through the day.

You keep the paper where the verse is written in your pocket just in case you forget what the verse says.

Now to incorporate worship, you can choose a verse that is about praising God and meditate on it all throughout the day.

You can choose a verse like Isaiah 25:1-

“Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago”

This verse is a perfect example because it not only does it have praise but it gives a reason for this praise that is true for all of us.

God has done wonderful things in all of our lives, things that He had planned since the beginning of time.

Tip: Pick a verse of Praise That You Can Relate To.

This ensures that you’re not just repeating words in your mind just to do it.

When you relate to the verse you pick, such as Isaiah 25:1, as you meditate and repeat it in your mind you are doing it with your heart because the verse speaks to your current condition/situation.

As you meditate, you are speaking those words to God.

This method also helps to memorize scripture.

Meaning, these verses of praise are being engraved on your heart and your mind.

3. Add Worship to Your Prayer

As Christians, having daily prayer times is an absolute must.

When we pray, worshiping should be part of the structure of your prayer.

When Jesus gives His disciples the example of how we should pray, right after addressing the Father, praise is the first part of the prayer.

Luke 11:2 says:

“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”

As you see, worshiping God in our prayer is both biblical and a great way to praise Him for all the amazing things He has done for us.

Tip: Try to worship for AT LEAST the first two minutes of your prayer.

That way it will be more of an actual worship session rather than just saying a quick praise and moving on to the next thing you want to pray about.

Remember to:

Praise God every time you can!

These three methods are a great help for you worship throughout the day.

But if there is any given moment in your day that you happen to stop and think about God, praise Him right there at that moment.

God loves spontaneous worship.

That type of worship that isn’t schedule or structured but just comes from the heart.

I  guess you can say, that’s a fourth way to add worship into your daily life: spontaneous worship.

All in all.

Worship is a very important part of every Christian’s life.

It is why God created us.

Let’s do our best to give God the praise that He absolutely deserves, everyday.

While you wait for that,

Here’s a Question:

What is your favorite worship song, and why?

Let me Know in the Comments Below!

My Answer:

My favorite worship song is actually a Spanish song called “Si Tu Presencia Conmigo No Va” by Oasis Ministry, which means “If Your Presence Does Not Go With Me.”

It’s my favorite worship song because the lyrics really speak to me.

What this song says to God is: If Your presence does not go with me, I will not go anywhere, I don’t want to go anywhere.

This is truly such a powerful message because it is based off of Exodus 33 where the Lord is speaking to Moses about leading Israel to the Promised Land and Moses tells God in verses 15 and 16:

“And he said to him, “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here.

So this song really reflects that sentiment of not wanting to go or do anything out of God’s will even if that path looks like a path of good or success.
